Sacred to the memory of / Anne, / eldest daughter of the late / Thomas and Betty BEAN, / born October 31st 1819, / who departed this life November 21st 1867, / *she is not dead but sleepeth.* / Also Charles Birch BEAN, / brother of the above who died suddenly at sea, / on board of the Pacific Steam Navigation Company;s / Steamer Cordillera G. N. CONLAN Commander, / and was buried the following morning / in the South Atlantic ocean. / *Those who knew him best loved him most.* / Also on the 28th July 1871, aged 3 years. / Annie Rhoda youngest daughter of the above / Charles Birch BEAN. / *In heaven their angels do always behold the face of / my Father which is in heaven.* Matt. 18. 10.
