Sacred / to the memory of / Captain Isaac DART, / of Maitland, Nova Scotia, / who died in Liverpool, June 14th 1867, / aged 55 years. / This stone is erected by his Nova Scotian / brothers, Ship Masters in port, as a tribute / of sincere regard and respect. / Owhat pleasures there await us, / there, the oceans cease to roar, / there, it is, that those who hate us, / shall molest our peace no more. / Trouble ceases, / on that tranquil-happy shore. / Also of Rebecca, the beloved wife of / Captain Leonard C.
