In / loving memory of / Elizabeth Jane, / wife of Thomas CARTER, / who died 16th July 1884, / aged 34 years. / *He giveth His beloved sleep.* / Also of / Frank Hemmingsley, / son of the above who died 29th July 1881, / aged 7 months. / Also of the above Thomas CARTER, / born 14th July 1851, / died 4th May 1910. / Martha A. CARTER, (Pattie) / born 3rd March 1858, / died 27th June 1917.

Sacred to the memory / of / Janet, / wife of Matthew McLEOD, / who died 23rd July 1881, / aged 63 years. / A kind and virtuous wife. / An affectionate mother and true friend. / Also of Matthew McLEOD, / husband of the above, / who died at Kilmarnock 24th Feby 1888, / aged 70 years. / And was interred in Irvine Churchyard Scotland.
